Description

The Dunns Creek Camp Zone is located within the Jennings State Forest (Clay County), about 30 minutes northwest of Middleburg, FL. This camp has the following facilities: 1.1 mile one-way, hike in only camp area with no electricity or water. Recreational activities featured here are: hiking, hunting, picnicking, birding, wildlife viewing, and photography.

Geography:

Jennings State Forest has over 25,000 acres of woodlands, rivers and creeks. Several ravines can be found in Jennings State Forest. These ravines are located along seepage streams leading to North Fork Black Creek. The spring-fed streams are visible when canoeing between Powell Ford and Ellis Ford on North Fork Black Creek. Jennings State Forest has a campground, 2 camp zones, day-use areas and recreational trails that offer a variety of activities such as hiking, camping, swimming, canoeing, fishing, nature study, birding, wildlife viewing, hunting, horseback riding and wildflower viewing. Facilities:

This hike in camp zone features one fire ring, a garbage can, and open area capable of holding one tent. Parking for this camp zone is provided at the Dunns Farm Trailhead. Users must pay the appropriate day use fee for parking at the Dunns Farm Trailhead. The hike is 1.1 miles one-way. Users should use the marked Dunns Farm Trail to access the camp zone.

Eugene L. Matthews Historical Musemum (Bradford County) - 20 miles south and west of Middleburg. Take SR 21 south, right onto SR 16 West, left onto CR 230 to Starke. Open Tuesday to Thursday 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
