The Florida Forest Service offers camping discounts for individuals age 65 and older, active-duty military or honorably discharged veterans, and for individuals 100% disabled at applicable camping facilities on Florida's State Forests. If you qualify for any of these discounts, please call the Reserve America Call Center at (877) 879-3859 and provide the appropriate document number (e.g., driver's license number; military ID number) to have the documentation added and your profile updated. Once this is complete, your discount will automatically apply upon checkout. The Florida Forest Service reserves the right to verify documentation provided to Reserve America.

Krul Campground Info: Day Passes are not valid for entry at Krul Campground. Reservations are required for entry and are available 2 days in advance here. Annual passholders also require a reservation, but will be admitted for free.

Description
The Etoniah Creek State Forest Green Camp are located within the Etoniah Creek State Forest (Putnam County), about 10 minutes east of Florahome, FL. This camp has the following facilities: a vault toilet, and no electricity or water. Recreational activities featured here are: hiking, hunting, horseback riding, picnicking, birding, wildlife viewing, and photography.
Geography:

Etoniah Creek State Forest has over 8,000 acres of woodlands, lakes and creeks. George's Lake is 819 acres with over 400 feet of lake frontage on the forest. Three shallow creeks (Falling Branch Creek, Etonia Creek, and Rice Creek) meander through floodplain swamps and bottomland hardwoods. Etoniah Creek State Forest has a campground, day-use areas and recreational trails that offer a variety of activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, nature study, birding, wildlife viewing, hunting, horseback riding, photography and wildflower viewing. Nearby Attractions:

The Palatka-To-Lake Butler State Trail (a paved, multi-use recreational trail) crosses the south side of the forest.
Four miles of the Florida National Scenic Trail also pass through the forest.

Ravine Gardens State Park is 15 miles east of the forest in Palatka.

No potable water or electric sites at this facility.

This forest allows hunting at various times throughout the year. Please check hunting dates before planning your stay. If you are on the forest during hunt dates please wear blaze orange for your protection.

Access the forest off Holloway Road. Please have a bright flashlight to get around in the dark. There are no lights or power in the camping area.

Be bear aware, keep all food out of sight in approved containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from the area after eating.

Prescribed burns are conducted on the forest throughout the year.
