Krul Campground Info: Day Passes are not valid for entry at Krul Campground. Reservations are required for entry and are available 2 days in advance here. Annual passholders also require a reservation, but will be admitted for free.

Description

The Hammock Campground is located within the Jennings State Forest (Clay County), about 30 minutes northwest of Middleburg, FL. This camp has the following facilities: camp area with no electricity or water, a communal clivus mulching toilet and pavilion. Recreational activities featured here are: hiking, hunting, fishing, canoeing, picnicking, horseback riding, birding, wildlife viewing, and photography.

Geography:

Jennings State Forest has over 25,000 acres of woodlands and creeks. Several ravines can be found in Jennings State Forest. These ravines are located along seepage streams leading to North Fork Black Creek. The spring-fed streams are visible when canoeing between Powell Ford and Ellis Ford on North Fork Black Creek. Jennings State Forest has a campground, 2 camp zones, day-use areas and recreational trails that offer a variety of activities such as hiking, camping, swimming, canoeing, fishing, nature study, birding, wildlife viewing, hunting, horseback riding and wildflower viewing. Facilities:

This drive-up primitive campground has ten tent sites. A Clivus mulching toilet system is available behind site 5. A communal, 2-table pavilion, grills, and a campfire ring with benches is located across from site 6.

Camp Blanding Musemum and Memorial Park - located 12 miles south of Middleburg on SR 16, east of Starke, FL. Open noon to 4:00 pm daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas Days

Eugene L. Matthews Historical Musemum(Bradford County) - 20 miles south and west of Middleburg. Take SR 21 south, right onto SR 16 West, left onto CR 230 to Starke. Open Tuesday to Thursday 1:00pm to 5:00 pm

Middleburg Historical Musemum - 20 minutes south of Jennings State Forest , 3912 Section Street in Middleburg. Open Sunday 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

  • Forest is open for day use visitors from 1.5 hours before sunrise until 1.5 hours after sunset.
